Launch: RFM Online Store

In March 2020, management made the call, The Regina Farmers' Market would be closed due to an unknown virus, COVID-19.

Our pivot 2 weeks later, and my "covid-project" was a digital online grocery service of the Regina Farmers' Market. We started with a 4-week pilot project, based in Local & Fresh. Here we offered our first iteration of home delivery, of Regina Farmers' Market products and produce.

Phase 1: Pilot Project at Local & Fresh

RFM Online Store: Pilot Project (staying socially distant)

With the success of our pilot project, we expanded into our multi-purpose room at Douglas Park, provided by City of Regina. Here we expanded to include morning and afternoon drive-through pick-up (see photos below)

This ended up being our team's home for the year 2020, throughout the pandemic. In our first year we generated $600,000+ revenue back into the economy and packed thousands of local orders.

Phase 2: Online Store at Douglas Park (Multi-purpose room)

RFM Online Store: Team Plus Holly who was running the outdoor market!

As we approached outdoor season of 2021 and "socially distant" activities were being set to return, our time in the multi-purpose room was reaching its end. Our next chapter of the RFM Online store moved us to 1118 Broad Street where we spent December 2021 - April 2022.

This was how we kept our 50+ shop owners thriving when indoor seasons were cancelled, and kept access to local groceries available to vulnerable sectors in a time of unknowns. From preparing orders, packing ordershome delivery, and drive-thru pick-up, I am so proud of our small team!

Phase 3: at 1118 Broad Street
